OUR SECURITY – THE KEYS DOUBLE BIT – Part 1
THE KEYS DOUBLE LOCKS FOR DOORS AND ARMOUR DOORS – Part 1.
To make sure that the keys of the double map locks can be operated from both sides of the lock manufacturers are forced to realize the symmetric keys.
The symmetry depends on how the lock is constructed.
If the lock has the wafers from both sides of the bolt will be specular symmetry and inverse:
In this specific case, the measurement of the maps will be constant. In fact, if on one hand there is the measure 1 (the highest) on the other side will be the extent to 5 (lowest). Measure 2 will match the 4, etc.
If the lock has the slabs pack everything from a side of the latch will be specular symmetry:
From all this we can deduce that the truly active part of the double map keys is only a part of the totality of the key itself.
Not only that, but from the active part we can derive or calculate the remaining milling. Obtaining in this way the complete key.
